Dreaded word which is troubling the world over. Lockdown, Isolation, Quarantine, Corona are the most expressed words all over the world. Corona Virus first affected the people in Wuhan China, supposed to start in the seafood market , people got affected, initially not suspected to be of any virus , but initial treatment by a doctor suspected to be like SARS Virus but with a different strain. The loal government suppressed that information and made sure that all in the Wuhan City in the Hubei province are normal with various activities. This was happened in the early or mid December 2019, but really got worse in the Mid January 2020, when the Beijing took notice of the state of health in the Wuhan and started to act and by End January 2020 it has grown exponentially that it forced to make a lockdown of the whole Hubei Province with strict measures in Wuhan. Thereby it controlled the spread of the virus within China -which would have been a catastrophe of unimaginable consequences in the world's largest population.
From Wuhan it went to South Korea , which acted very early - they had an audit done just weeks before the Virus was known to the world - as part of an exercise that if Virus like SARS comes once again how we should prepare. So, the moment the Virus strain got released in the Late January 2020, through their technology advancement - started preparing the test kits - which was the result of the Audit done - that to make the virus not to be spread and to be controlled is to make the tests at a very large scale and in make the result available in very short time. They were able identify the Zero point of virus - an elderly woman of a religious group who came from Wuhan during that time -went to attend Christian masse in her village in the Deishu province or something like that.. They did the test in a very massive scale and with the help of the test kit (which has AI built into that) were able to get the results out in hours and were able to isolate the people, they started the Walk through test sites - wherein you can go and do a test and get the result in minutes..
South Korea were able to contain because of the testing measures and were without a major lockdown announce - they didn't announce any ban in International travels (arrivals or departures), they also didn't close the borders internally - they were able to isolate the carriers in the province. It was possible because of the civil discipline of the Koreans, the transparency of the government, Koreans put the complete faith in the government and the government did an excellent job in flattening the curve, which is now termed as the South Korean Model, which all over the world are looking at to fatten the curve of the spread of the Corona Virus.
From there it started to spread all over the world, which now extends with Spain, Italy, London, USA, India everywhere it is spreading the Virus with enormous difficulties , loss of lives, economy .. to dire consequences. Today the latest report says, USA no.of people affected is more than the China. Daily hundreds are dying in Iran, Italy, Spain. IT is not sparing any people, rich or poor, no caste or creed, even Boris Johnson Prime minister of England, Prince Charles, Tom Hanks, Idris Ilba.. etc.,
India at present is doing a very commendable job, PM Modiji is putting his best foot forward with help of all the states in controlling the spread of the Virus. It is unimaginable if it started spreading through the Community , now it is only by the people who have come back to India through the COVID-19 affected countries , by which we were able to contain the spread of the virus in the community. ICMR and the National Disease Control agency are doing the best strategy for India. One thing we need to understand is it is not possible to test every individual , all the people who have come back to India after travelling/ visited the COVID - 19 affected countries, which itself will run into millions of test kits. The population is such that it is highly impossible to adopt that strategy, so the best is what now the ICMR and other agency is adopting is testing the people who are highly suspected to be carriers.
The agency is monitoring the PM health System which is being used by 40% of the Indians and the reports from the Government hospitals all over India doesn't reveal any adverse report , stating that lots of people are coming for the treatment in the government hospitals or other clinics , so till today the Modi Government with the help of all the states in India is doing an excellent job. TN Health Minister and the AIADMK government is doing an excellent job till now.
Modi has announced the Janta Curfew last sunday for 17 hours and requested Indians to salute, appreciate the frontline workers who are fighting the Corona Virus like Health care workers, sanitary workers, delivery boys, Police etc., who are all in the ground not in the safe four walls of their house. Even their indian politics played, which is highly condemnable Then a day after Modi announced a 21 day lockdown, which is very crucial to India to control the spread of the Virus - Isolate, Quarantine.. We are hearing news of people escaping from the quarantine / isolation facilities or not adhering the self-quarantine in their homes. This is absolutely crazy - shouting from the roof top to help them bring home from affected countries but once they reach the homeland then questioning the government , about isolation or quarantine..That is INDIA - that is the difference between India and South Korea. in China because of the Central Government , authoritarian /draconian measures can be taken but in India , it is highly impossible to put heavy measures, it is every citizen should play their part.
Let's all pray to GOD that India doesn't go into Stage 3 like Italy or Spain or Iran or even like USA. There are good number of positive news coming.. Hopefully India will be safe..
All over the world all sporting events are cancelled, IPL, EPL, Olympics, NBA ..
