First Post in 2019 - Post after 11 Months - May 2019

First Post in 2019, my last post was in June 2018. In this i wanted to cover three things which happened - happening in this month of May.

1) IPL Final - MI winning for the fourth time
2) GOT - Final Season - Mixed Reviews from the fans across the world
3) Greatest - biggest - longest festival of democracy - Indian Parliament Elections

1) IPL Final - May 12th 2019 - Sunday'

What a final!!! It was money's worth. Great for Cricket, Great for T20, General a Great Game of Cricket. As MI Supporter from the beginning, it was an excellent team performance. Good Example of Strategy, Team Sprit, Never Say Die Spirit, Attitude etc., we can go on saying. End Destiny willed for MI to win. Yes, it is destiny. As Dhoni said, the trophy was passed from one hand to another between CSK and MI. Watson was dropped thrice, 4 Byes were given, two overs of Krunal and Malinga was thrashed for 40 runs, Bumrah bowled 2 excellent overs back-to-back of the every expensive overs. End Malinga came back and bowled the final over with exemplary skill and calmness and won the hearts and the trophy for MI. IF it is not destiny then what it is!!!!

CSK couldn' t defeat MI in this whole season, played 4 times and lost all the four including the Final. it was a very patchy performance by  the CSK by their own standards. Lots of times it was Dhoni who bailed them out. In the Final he couldn't do much - lots of comments going around about the verdict of Run-out to Dhoni, but it was clear Out for me. Not of being a MI supporter but as a cricket fan , yes, it is OUT.

Mumbai Indians richly deserved the championship, as usual they started very slow, got the momentum in the middle, little slippery in the final matches, but end played excellent , winning the crucial moments in the nail-biting matches, some individuals rising their hands and helped MI crossing the line. Like Hardik in two or three matches, Pollard against Kings X1, Bumrah in the Final (He was the top performer for MI, every match at the death he is the saviour), Rahul Chahar. de Kock being the top run getter for MI, Lasith Malinga being the bowling coach last year and the player this year and helping the MI to cross the line.

All in All truly a momentous victory in the Best IPL Finals till now - whole season itself was very good.

2) GOT - Mixed Reviews : A great fantasy drama which engulfed the viewers of the series in totality - the series has everything a viewer would want - fantasy at its best. Lots of unexpected twists - at the end we cannot make out who is the hero or villain - hero in one episode is a villain in another episode - vice versa.

We will now come to the Season 8 - For me it was a great one. See, it is the ending. So expectations is that - being comparable with the earlier seasons - how gruesome will the death be. Viewers expectations are the deaths has to be more grotesque than what has been seen.

As showrunners, they would have discussed at great length and concluded that this is how it is going to happen - thus was the season 8 - i liked each one episodes. The latest 5th Episode was very good - it brought the thinking of the Dany into the open - i thing the show runners cannot show her in a different light - she is the MAD QUEEN and she is facing another MAD Lady Cersei - Dany has suffered a lot - everything , everyone she loved has left her - whoever supported has left her including Jon Snow, Tyrion was not useful to her in the last few episodes, Messandei death is huge blow to her, Rhaegal dragon death, dothraki was massacred in the great Knight War.. So may be if Jon accepted her and reciprocated her love (which will be against the character of Jon Snow - anathema in other words) she might have done differently in the war on Red Keep. This is what GOT is all about - winning at all costs, not to worry on the repurcussions or whatever, if it has to be done means has to be done at all costs, whatever may be the outcome.

As the Spoilers in Reddit - one of which nearly 80 to 90 percentage has come out correctly - Dany will be killed by Jon snow or one of the faceless of Arya - Drogon will take the body of Dany and flew or Jon may fly on the Drogon - Jon will give the Throne (one spoiler suggest that the Throne would have melt in the fire - no iron throne will be there) to the committee  consists of Tyrion (one spoiler says he will be the first one to die in the finale opening scenes) Sansa, Arya, Tarly etc., Jon would go to North to defend the wall - Bran suggests that the night king is still there - Jon will see the Night King Insignia burning - Bran through this vorgs will built the wall - Jon would go there - this is what he wants - to be with his own people. I think this will be the fitting finale of GOT.

3) Greatest Festival of Democracy : this blog is only to share few thoughts. Detailed blog will appear once the results are announced.

1) Modi - In the election speeches some words are being spoken - but on a whole Modi Magic is still there. Media is projecting as if there is no wave. But one look at the gatherings and the support is whole hearted. He is the one who will bring the vores for BJP all over india.

2) Rahul - Trying his luck - giving 100 % percent - but no - he will not gain the majority. But he is putting his whole effort, that should be appreciated, He has made the Congress a relevant force in this election. He is running the BJP in the race till the last minute. This is good for democracy - we need a good opposition.

3) AIADMK - this is going to be turning point in the politics of TN. Without Amma and Kalaignar TN is facing an election. We need to see how the people have voted. My gut feeling is AIADMK will win between 10 to 15 seats as an alliance ; DMK will 25 seats as a whole.

In the assemble elections our of the 22 (this is very crucial as the survival of the present government depends on the result) - AIADMK will win atleast (it has to win, TINA)
