One Year after Dec 5 & 6 2016..
A year has flown past like a breeze.. the same time last year people all over India are glued to the television waiting for the inevitable news , which came around 10:30 PM. 'AMMA is NO MORE'.
The news which shocked everybody - an enigma a mystery both the Woman and also the way she died. So many theories are abound which is still going on - How AMMA died? Still No answer. An enquiry from a single retired Judge has started the enquiries - doubt whether the real NEWS will come.
The Mystery what tied AMMA with these people , How come a iron lady as her followers called her and who is intelligent, brave, who overcomes all the hegemonic male centric power politics single-handedly and made all the men literally fell at her feet, would be with the Woman and called her Friend. Couldn't she judge her 'Friend' - Mystery which has no answer.
Now the party has gone and the state has gone ungoverned - all the good works has been tossed around. Governance has become a big question mark - all the hard-work that has been done by AMMA has been undone in the last one year.
A Void in the politics is yet to be filled. But Life goes on!!!..as usual.... As they say in USofA God Bless Tamilnadu.
One Year after Demonitisation and GST
Year has gone by after demonitisation - any ground breaking thing has happened - I doubt - RBI is saying that nearly 99.4% of money (nearly 15 Lakh Crore) which went out of circulation has been accounted for and the pre-demonitisation level of circulation of money has come now. RBI / Government is telling that nearly 1.25 lakhs of accounts which has deposited more than 25 Lakhs is being targeted and IT notices summons has been issued. Will anything will come out of this??? I doubt may be in the next election something will come out of this....
GST - everybody thought the tax rate will come down for the common man but alas all the consumables cost has gone up. GST which is supposed to charge and including the GST it should not go beyond the MRP, but retailers are charging GST on the MRP - and no system to check or counter that. Still retailers are giving two bills if needed with GST and without GST and no system to check or counter that. And we don't know whether the real GST is being accounted for???!!!!!*****
SPORTS
Real Madrid are champions and Ronaldo is getting all the awards. This year both Ronaldo and RMA are struggling with Barca going strong. Neymar transfer world record of 220 Million to PSG has created an urge to see the Ligu1 - wait to see any impact on the UCL 2017.
Rafael Nadal and Federer are dominating the Tennis world. In Women tennis four different champions with Serena not in picture.
Indian Cricket are champions at Home this year. With South Africa / England / New Zealand tours are in the offing we know whether the Kings of Home Soil will shine in the Overseas Tours.
NBA with GSW winning the league this year is going to be a tough one and very interesting as all the rosters of the teams has done major changes with a just single motto of facing and beating GSW.
Chelsea the defending champions are struggling this year with MCI going Strong and ManU rejuvenated and giving good fight in both the UCL and in the English Premier League.
Films and TV
Waiting for 2.0 / Samy square / Manirathinam new film (Azhagiye film not ran well in the box office this year). ARR as usual shone in the 2.0 / Azhagiye and Mersal.
Industry as such few good films have come .. but tamil film still need to grow up from the Mass Masala Movies!!!.
TV has gone miles ahead with Netflix / Hotstar / Amazon Prime - great serials and great films. It is really an eye-opener with small plots but al the serials are very engrossing. Good BINGE watching.. Indian TV industry has to come a long way. The kind of budget the TV Serials are talking about I am aghast till today why people are not talking about taking 'Ponniyin Selvan' as a tele-serial on the grand scale of 'GOT' 'Narcos' , SPARTACUS, CROWN etc.,

By God's Grace and Elders Blessings the year has been passed with. Feeling good with Wife and Kids and Relatives. God Bless and Elders Blessings wish to continue in the coming years. Good Sabarimala Trip / Darshan after a gap of two years.
